File include with html? - Tech Support Forums

I know there is a way to do this with normal html/js. But how? What I want to do is call for an external file in this case menu.htm.

So I have may page scripted and every thing and now I want to make so my menu is part of the page without making a new version of it how do I do it?

I thought it was something like <src="menu.htm"> or <file src="menu.htm"> But it doesnt work.

HOW DO I DO IT?

Nope sorry but thanks for trying.

What you have is server side include and the page also has a JS for of it but it will not work for what Im tyring to do.

I don't know HTML at all so I wasn't sure...just bump this tomorrow (it's kinda late now) and I'm sure you'll get the help you need.

Hmmm...couldn't you find a website that does what you're looking for and view the source code?

THats were I first learned of it but after about an hour of searching/multi tasking no luck.

I want to be able to include an html doc and a txt file but have the txt file run like it was an html file so that if some one were to put in <b>adfkjl;adkf</b> it would work for them.
