Sending SMS from a site

A friend was telling me thet he visited a site that has a feature where you type in an sms message and it sends an sms to the webmasters cell phone....???

How do you send free sms messages?

Anyone have any ideas on how this works?

yeah it sends to the cell phone's personal email address...there are alot of sites that allow you to send personalized messages to cell phones if the carrier allows it that is. At&t give its users an email address for their phones so you might check with your cell provider...one note most providers allow all incoming sms to be free its sent sms's that are charged
