RE: the ASP.Net
I used Uplinkearth.Net for ASP.Net hosting. Their cheapest ASP.Net hosting plan is 8.95 a month.
Their cheapeast plan is 4.95.
4.95 plan is 100 MB/2 gig.
8.95 plan is 200 MB/3 gig |

These guys offer cheap hosting, with every feature you could ever possibly want!
2 domains, 100MB webspace, 5GB transfer per month, SQL, PHP4, CGI, Crontab, fully-graphical web-based control panel, full DNS control, apache config, 10 FTP accounts, 100 POP mailboxes, 100 web-based mailboxes, 2 mailing lists, loads more... all for £10 per month!!!
They do other cheaper, and more expensive packages too, but i'm using the K10 package which is the one above. i haven't even listed all the features! check out their site, and you can see for yourself.
the best thing is - if you have a particular package, but you just want a small upgrade, like an extra 3MB webspace, or an extra GB transfer, or another domain or mailing list, you can just add it on! it's so easy, and feature rich, i would recommend them every time!
...and no, i don't work for them, and they';re not paying me to say this
oh... and the downtime is phenomenal... i've never had an ISP like it, it's practically zero!

what features do you want for hosting?? i'll assume you want just bog-standard hosting, with no features..... http://www.123reg.co.uk offer .com addresses for £8.99 per year, and you could then change the IPS tag to be your favourite (cheapest) ISP.
Or... you could get free hosting with Tiscali or Freeserve someone, and just point the domain name at that webspace.
It's up to you.
If you wanted to pay for hosting as well, KDA Web Services offer a package for £39.95/year, but you can still get it free elsewhere with less features and less webspace, and probably bannerads. |

Try this one. I have used it for hosting for a couple yrs. Usually no probs. Back up your site files though now and again just in case. It's totally free and no adds. The only one I've ever found. Fairly easy to use. http://www.brinkster.com |

KDA Web Services only have banner-free hosting, but all their packages cost money. I used to use Tiscali for my hosting before i decided to start paying. Just sign up for the full-on pay-as-you-go dialup account, and simply don't use the dialup - just use the webspace. |
