weird, i still can't connect to it. and your router is purty secure so i can't even see if its open.

[EDIT] one more thing, do you have a blank host header in IIS that receives connections on port 1025? that would be needed.

YAY! it worked. one thing, i think it might work on port 80 if you added a blank host header for port 80. BTW, i was asked for a user name and password to access the site, just thought you should know.

YES

For all those who want to know what was the problem:

I had to open another port (in my case 1025 since my ISP probably blocks port 80 for incoming connections). but I also have to keep port 80 open (for outgoing connections?? clarification is welcomed!)

Also, I had to add a host header for port 1025 (in addition to port 80) in the IIS snap-in.

Chris,
Thank you very, very much for your help!!! I appreciate it very much!!
Yeah, I know the site is password protected because it is merely a testing site...

i think it might work on port 80 if you added a blank host header for port 80

I tried that, but as I mentioned above, I think I have to have both ports open... It didnt work with only either one open... cuz of outgoing connection thru port 80 by default?? If anybody knows, let us know too
Anyway, thanks a lot again!!

your router automatically leaves port 80 open so you can surf the web kinda helps eh?

i guess you can just run on port 1025 now. just make sure to type in the http:// before your IP. it should look like this:

http://your.ip.here.please:1025

or

http://madarts.no-ip.com:1025

good luck!
