FTP help??

Hello there,

I have a few video clips a want to put on my site. At a GeoCities account.

First of all, someone told me you can use FTP so people can download the files from your folder??

If this is true can you explain it to me? And how FTP works, I would drag the file into the destination window, and it wouldnt work... I dont know how/where to send it.... like I seriously don't understand what Im doing....


If not anyone know where they host video clips for free?

Download an ftp server program like TYPSoft FTP Server.

Read what comes with it for a start then come back if you have any more questions.

Oh and make sure you run a firewall.

I'm pretty sure that unless you have a paid account at geocities, you can't use FTP

FTP Commander is what I use.It's free.

www.web1000.com has a good FTP free service,IMO
