What VB Compnent?
What component to I need to install in VB6 to get it recognize thsi command?

I could be mistaken, but that maybe a component of MS JET database access... do you have Access installed?

DAO... I had the Jet Access compnonent but not DAO.. whoohoo!! now my code works!

heh Data Access Objects

Moving forward if you update your code, DAO is a bit obsolete, MS primarily suggests using ADO
