Do you have IIS installed somewhere?
You are required to have IIS running somewhere, and that IIS box must have the .NET framework installed. |

Oh that reminds me, I can not install Frontpage Server Xtension and don't know how to install IIS. When I got to Ms Homepage, I always lose my way there.
Do you think XP home can install IIS ? if yes, could you pls give me the installation link and guide for it ? |

yes, IIS comes with the following....
XP Pro
2000 Pro
2000 Server variant
It probably comes with 2003, but I'm not sure which versions since there's a thousand different versions nowadays |

Yikes! I wouldn't migrate to 2003 just yet.
For one, it ain't ready for prime time.
Two, you have to install IIS6. IIS5 won't run on 2003. Conversely, IIS6 won't run on 2000.
And there are several other server-related incompatibilities between 2003 and 2000 and what they can and can't run. |

I didn't say anything about migrating, it sounds like he's just doing this at home.. the ASP should mostly be the same.
Overall I agree don't bother with 2003 anytime soon. |
