I was wondering this, a friend of mine has a site which gets hosted by his father, now he hosts many sites for money, i was just wondering if the prices are good.
The speed of the site is good, it's always up and loads fast. www.serverintelligence.com
So can you all give me some feedback on that. |

| The music is good?!
Serverintelligence is the worst provider I have ever seen. On the first page, almost all links are dead.
The support is poor. That boy does not seem to have a single clue about what he is doing.
The mail server is down frequently, questions about what is happening remain unanswered. Currently the mail server is down for 48hrs, plenty of e-mails are ignored.
On the support page, the link to the FAQ is not working, the link to the Forum is not working, the live support is NEVER active.
The help desk did not work at all until yesterday when I personally had to tell him that it is completely screwed.
First I sent an e-mail to support and he told me to use the help desk.
Help desk did not work at all.
Then he sent me a mail saying, that he (!!!! I spent 8 hrs convincing him that the stupid helpdesk is screwed) has found a serious issue with the help desk and I should use the support e-mail instead. Argh!
The newest feature is, that mails to support@serverintelligence.com are returned with this error message:
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
pipe to |/home/serverin/public_html/cgi-bin/include/email.cgi
generated by support@serverintelligence.com
Child process of virtual_address_pipe transport returned 69 (could mean service or program unavailable) from command:
/home/serverin/public_html/cgi-bin/include/email.cgi
Right now, the complete server is down, including our site hosted there...
We will move to another, professional provider asap.
I propose to everyone not even to consider to move to serverintelligence.com. A school boy is simply not capable to provide 'professional technical support' like he promises all over the site.
*lol* When I asked him about the dead link to the forum, he sloppily todl me that they were being updated. The forums are dead since about 2 weeks at least now. ;-)
I remember, that installing Debian on my machine cost me about 3 hard days of work once. How long can an 'update' of a forum take? Ridiculous. |

Yup the server is dead....
I'd go with a more professional company and let the friendship stay a friendship.. =) Business and friends don't mix

Well there is nothing wrong with the server or its equiptment. The problem was a network issue outside of our control.
And yes I do have ears and people do send me links.
Not amused. |
