MySQL Overview

Could someone give me a good description of what exactly MySQL is and what it does? Is it a new language all together? I am completely new to this and want to be able to talk about it and UNDERSTAND what im talking about haha.

That should explain it better than I could. Basically, MySQL is an open source database. SQL is the structured query language, which is what allows one to interact with their databases.

The database is very easy to use if you have phpmyadmin. I don't recall the site where you get it but, you can just google for it and get it done that way. You create databases within MySQL. Then you create tables and have records in the table. It is actually quite simple to use once you start to use it. If you would like for me to show you about it just send me an IM.
