CGI mail-to forms....How do i make?

Hi all.. I am in the process of building a little site for our family business.. On one of the pages i need to recover some information from the customer (no cc's not ssl needed) ..

I made a dreamweaver mail to form but it was not really successful and it kept bringing up outlook express new mail with no content..
I read on a google search that dreamweaver's mail to forms were unreliable and a cgi script would be the best way to go..would it?
So how do i setup a cgi mail-to form...??

*update* I have ultra hosting with doteasy and i found a mail to form on thier site with a tutorial..

But i cant get it to work for me.. It says its really simple?

Greetings! What kind of problem are you having? Is there no email being sent to your email address? Is there an error message? Can you submit the form?

Any additional information would be helpful.

The tutorial seems pretty thorough.

It is going to a server error page?
No mail being sent at all..

Excuse my ignorance but i am hopeless with this, Im ok with html..

I have now read about a php script that is a lot safer than the mailto form above. I will give that a go..

omc1jz - are you just wanting a form that allows your customers to be able to select certain items and add a commit - when they click on submit, it send an email to you?
