I have recently moved servers and my forum is the best part of my site. I downloaded my database and tried to import it into my new database through php my admin and it ends up timing out or something and comes up with action canceled. The database is 20 megs big and I really need it to get to my new server or I lose everything good about my site. |

Has permissions?

Is the database file local, or is it already on the server?
MySQL services are started correctly?
There is disk space on the host server? (would hope so, or its a pretty crappy host!) |

I would try uploading it before importing it, if you haven't done that. |

Figure out where your home dir is on the box..and run this SQL query. source /path/to/home/dir/filename.sql <-- Exported file.
You should be able to run that from your nice SQL query whitebox in phpMyAdmin.

You only typed what i put in bold, right? You may have to terminate the line with a semi-colon ";". |
