Mail Server...

Can anyone point to a good mail server that I can run along with Apache and is easy to set up. PLus no trail versions or limited versions.

What sort of mail server (smtp, pop3, imap etc)? If you are just looking for an MTA then I would suggest Postfix, although you don't mention what OS you are interested in running.

What platform? Windows, Unix, Linux, etc.

If Unix/Linux, why not opt for sendmail, the most widely used mail on the net.

qmail is also highly popular among the Unix/Linux community. It is small, but efficient and quite powerful.

OK, I'm running Windows XP and I need either and SMTP or POP3 can anyone explain the differences?
