Is 500 kb alot for a homepah?
What should it be and how do I make it less?

well www.techimo.com has got 173 i think, i have something close to 60 kb, and xtremepccentral.com has got 136 so something around 100 kb to 150 kb should be good!
you can make the pics, smaller (in quality) but to be honest i have no idea what i'm really downloading, because the pics were all up and it's still loading, is there a flash file? or music?

BTW you page is more than 700 kb =)Canon EOS 550D | Tamron 18 - 270mm 1:3.5 - 6.3 | Lensbaby Scout (Soft Focus Optic, Fisheye Optic) | Canon Speedlite 430EX II

Your sight shows me that you have the talent to do professional work. You might make it a little more "grown-up" looking. considering the " grown-up" items your search engine is searching.

The cell phone picture is 688 KB's!
Reduce all graphics to the point of deterioration and then backup to the next higher colour amounts for optimized graphics.
Check out my suggestions on this page:

Cheers!

The design looks great!
The pictures on the other hand, while they look ok, they are WAY too big!
Now, I don't mean that they look to big on the page, but there actual size in pixels are MUCH bigger than what you have resized them to in the HTML code.
For example:
Here's the link to the phone picture. The actual resolution is 2400 x 1800 pixels!!!!
When the size that you are needing on your page is a mere 90 x 72 pixels. So you could DEFINITELY cut that resolution to 90 x 72 BEFORE linking to it as an IMG SRC.
I'm going to give you a link to a folder with all the images that are on your site, such as the cell phone, where I have resized them to the exact size that you have set on your webpage.
Here's the linky for you...
If that link doesn't work for you, go HERE and click on the "SearchBunny_Images" folder.
HTH,
David
BTW, the new cell phone picture is only 2.24 KB now, a little bit better than the 688KB it was...

That phone looked so tiny in the website, but its huge when you see it by itself!!
Now I understand why its slow for some users to enter the website. Indeed too big for what you need.

Thanks so much for your kind words and advise!
For those who asked about what I am "using" as a SE, I am a search partner with www.Mirago.co.uk
I get paid for most of the clicks
I get sometimes 4 pounds per click on "loans" :-D
And thank you SO MUCH for that image resizing and uploading it, I will update it right now.
Check it in 5 mins and see if its better :-D
Thanks again.
PS: I am not a designer, I dont even know html, so its not my skills that made this site, unfortuanatly, I have to farm out for all my sites.
