what i mena is if i wnated to regsiter a .com or .co.uk name, i can enetr those names into a whois and it would come back to tell me that yes, the name was available or not.
now if i wanted to register a .com.ng name and eneterde it in a whois it would not recorgnise the name(it's a ccltd).
But on somebody's website he had a search engine which combines the whois facility with a sort of dns check so if you eneterd a co.uk or .com name it would work as a whois and if you enetered a .com.ng name it would come back with the details of the name servers and so on- showing it was not available, if it was laready taken- and it would use that as a prove that the name was available or not.
what i'll like to know is how did he do it?
