I bet you need to open a port on your router/firewall.
What router do you have? (and any firewall you have enabled)

I'm not familiar with that particular modem/router. However, you should be able to visit the internal configuration at http://192.168.1.1/
From there, you'll want to look for some kind of Port Forwarding, where you need to direct the right port number to your specific computer (IP address).
Also, another reason that you may not be accessible from the internet, is because port 80 (default for web servers) is possibly blocked. I know many DSL (and cable) companies block certain ports including port 80.
If you find that you ARE being blocked at port 80, then you will need to specify an alternate port in Apache to 'listen' on.

I have port forwarding on for a HTTP web server (it is a service config). The firewall is totaly off, and the static NAT directs all un solicited traffic to my computer. I will try to change the port number.
What is a good number? |

You could choose a port from 1 to 65535. However, I would stay out of the double/triple digit range,as a lot of other software uses those ports.
I typically choose a random 5-digit port.
Here is a List of known ports. You can choose any port number you'd like... but it is best to find one not used by anything else.

If it's a default apache install, it is listening on port 80. You will need to forward that one |
