Maybe its just me and im doing something wrong but I've been trying to get this hello world thing to work for like an hour, i have Bloodshed Dev-C++ and i put this in for the code:
Code:
#include <iostream.h>

int main()
{
   cout << "Hello World!\n";
       return 0;
}
Its right out of teach yourself C++ in 21days, second edition, i cant seem to get it to work, i save it then compile it, it creates another file but whenever i try and run it, it just flashes the cmd window really quickly and then it goes away, no hello world, anyone know what i could be doing wrong?

Go into a command console, goto the path of the exe file and run it there in the command line.

By just double clicking the file the command windows closes as soon as its finished running.

Make sense?
