It looks like Opera 7 should be coming out soon. And it's no little update either, they've spent 18 months rewriting the entire engine and "throwing out legacy code." Plus making it more compatible with DOM. Document Object Model is a platform- and language-neutral interface that will allow programs and scripts to dynamically access and update the content, structure and style of documents.

| What I would LOVE to see in this next release is multi threaded browser
If one window is waiting to time out, Opera as a whole freezes up waiting for it to time out :(
MAN that drives me insane!
When you go to create a new connection do it as a new thread so the rest of the application is free to move on as required :)

| I installed Opera a month or two ago, and wasn't satisfied at all. I'll give this one a shot, though.. |

| Nice. Maybe they'll upgrade the GUI. IE is sparse and functional and Netscape is attractive. But Opera does not do anything for me.

| My only hopes for Opera is that I can reset my TIMO CP to not logging me in by cookies. I squirm over that issue every time I visit here and see I'm already logged in...... Definitely a 'must try', but I'll wait several weeks, as 6.01 went to 6.02 and then 6.03 within something like 2 months. |

[/quote] Go to File->Preferences->Network->
And under the performance heading, uncheck "Synchronous DNS" and that will solve your problem :-D |

i'm a big fan of computers, driving, music, movies, and women |
| what never impressed me with opera on any platform is that i'd have to pay for it to not have ads. why would i do that when i could get ie, netscape, or mozilla, all for free?? |

| You would think synchronous dns would help a problem like that (one thread goes to resolve dns, while other threads at the same time (synchronous?) are resolving it for other pages...)
Dunno, I'll give it a shot :D Thanks! RTFM eh? :D lol
