A hawk on our pool!

Was sitting down at the table and looked outside to hear what all the noise was about. Turns out there was a hawk sitting on and walking around the pool wall. It happened to be near blue-jay and mockingbird nests and was being divebombed constantly. Luckily I got this pic before it flew off!

he was probably thirsty.

Nice pic, we have one of a kookaburra on our back fence, and a possum in the palms, somewhere. Dog tend to go nuts and drive them away, though.

cool bird! and you did so well with the camera, considering the time limit! hand feeding birds is quite and experience too, if you ever get the chance..although i imagine it would be a bit difficult with a bird like that
