You have to live there to know it. If you don't know, then you never will. I grew up 1mile west of her neighborhood separated by a railroad track and a river. Half a mile east of Cabrini Green is the beautiful Lake Michigan beaches and a completely different world.
Cooley High was a couple blocks away before it was torn down.
