Here's the guts of the system:
Epox 8K5A2
AMD XP 2000+
512mb Mushkin PC2700 DDR
Gainward GF4 Ti4200 64mb
Plextor 40x12x40 burner
Lite-On DVD
WD "Sepcial Edition" 80gb
TT Volcano 7+
System went together and booted without a hitch. The case has a fan up top, one in the rear, and one of the side panel. With those and the light, the wiring was very hairy.
I was able to find a place on the back of the case to mount the 3-way speed switch for the Volcano 7+ externally, which I thought was pretty cool. The highest temp we've been able to get with it under full load is 50C, with the fan on low.
All components bought from Newegg for about $1200 shipped, including a webcam and speakers. He's a happy customer.

Nah, I installed it to "benchmark and burn-in" his cpu. He's left it running thus far. Too bad he's going back to the states in a month.
