So can u explain to me how u did that? i Thought the blue color wouldnt work?

It's pretty easy.

Blue LED from Radio Shack P/N 276-316.
Remove old LED, install new LED, mouse away.

That's pretty cool Evilrick! Do you think any other LED's would work? Like white, green, yellow etc.

I SCREWED UP MY MOUSE DOING THIS!!! AHHHH!!!!!!!

i am not too good at saudering, and i had to try and sauder it like literally 50 times, and this scratched off some of the circuitry around the connection points of board and the LED...WHAT DO I DO!!!!!

I heard that on some mice that if you changed the color to blue, that you would lose some or all accuracy. Was that true for you, EvilRick??

It really hasn't affected anything.

I'm sure other colors will work, as long as you get an LED with an mcd of at least 2300. (mcd stands for millacandellas in case you didn't know)

i did this exact same mod with (i think) the same mouse and it worked great, love it. i have pics on here somewhere if u wanna search for em.

BUT i tried the same thing with a logitech mx700 (wireless) mouse and it screwed it up bigtime. i had to go back to red. DO NOT TRY THIS WITH A MX700!!!!!!!
