why do you guys hate the waste basket so much? (BTW: I'm posting this from Fedora (having mixed feelings about it, especially after formatting my perfectly set up mandrake install )

I don't like the waste basket because it is redundant. If I right click on an item and hit delete, it's gone...
No waste basket to sit in... Although I'll probably run into a situation where I'd have wished I threw it in the waste basket instead of deleting... DOH!

LOL, reading that I tried to highlight the trash icon and hit the delete key. It said "You can't trash the trash bin!"
