Well thats not unusual. Engines fail all the time in FS.
ALso, 478knots under 10,000 ft. is illegal in the real world. Infact, most planes would fall apart from all the friction.

If you try to fly that fast under 10K ft., your engines WILL fail. Thats IF your plane is still in one piece.

No engines and no cockpit lights. Some sort of electrical glich? So we are talking about comercial airliners not being able to fly 478knots under 10,000ft. Military aircraft to it all the time.
250Knots is the max below 10,000 if i remeber correctly.

The answer is, I purposely turned off all the fuel supply for all 4 engines and I was still gaining altitude.
I thought shutting off the fuel supply would make the engines not run and I would come down like a meteor.

At 478knots, you still have plenty of speed to get lift. When you get around 180-200 knots is when you'll notice your altitude dropping fast.
Also blubomber, that is not a military aircraft, that is a commercial aircraft.
