"Asked my hubby if it means he has a hemmi in it, he said 'better not!'"
Contrary to popular belief, the term "hemi" is not just associated with Mopar engines. Many different manufacturers have used hemispepherical head designs over the years, including Ford for the 427 and 429 (semi-hemi) big blocks used in the classic Mustang.

yes, they did.
although the Boss 429 disappointed alot of Ford people since many believed it to be the killer of all other sports cars. (corvette) Ford dissapointed alot of people when it turned out that the car was very slow.

Yes, VERY slow. I'm not going to start some stupid thing here, arguing over such a moronic statement; but I will say the car ain't slow.
And yeah, Rob is right. Basically every car today has a hemispheical combustion chamber to optimize efficiency. In fact, the modern-day ones are even better. I believe Fords had a "wedge" design back in the day.

how was my comment "moronic"?
you trying to insult me?
i told you the car was slow, and Ford disappointed alot of people.
it got to 60 in 6.9 seconds! with 429 cubic inches.....
top speed was only 118 mph
the cuda with 426 cubic inches and the same weight got to 60 in 5.5, and had a top speed of 150 MPH, you tell me which one is underpowered.

Where are you pulling those numbers from? Believe it or not, 7 seconds is still quick for back then, but I'm betting your "statistics" are way off.
PM me, or go on AIM to continue this - we've crapped up this poor fellow's gorgeous picture enough.

I have to say I've seen several stock cuda's with the 426 ci run in the 5.8 range. Not sure on top speed though. I would say 150 is shooting high.
