The WePresent enables you to connect PC's and Smartphone's to any VGA screens including TV's. The WePresent allows up to four people to display their PC / Smartphone in a 4:1 Split screen format. The chairperson can select each presenter one by one. This makes moving from presenter to presenter seamless i.e. no more ungainly swapping of laptops and plugging in another coupled with the usual fuss and bother of moving seats and the vagaries of each laptop not recognising the projector straight away. If you have a network connection available it also acts as a Wireless Access Unit and can boost WiFi range or act as a local guest access point with it's own security set up. The Video is delay free and audio remains properly synchronised with the footage. A particularly nice feature is the ability to pause the screen while you do something else on the PC i.e look for another presentation or slide. These devices are available from www.wpsltd.com Simonc9 Fri, 23 Oct 2009 11:27:44 -0500 MS-200 WiFi enable screens & TV's to watch DVD from laptop http://www.techimo.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=474

by: Simonc9

Description: View your laptop or Smartphone on a TV or projector. The Mobishow is a handheld device that WiFi enables your TV, projector or monitor. Plug it into the TV and via the WiFi connection on your PC or phone you can view Powerpoint and other apps or video either saved in memory, on the hard drive or on DVD. The great thing is that it allows you to use the PC or phone while viewing video. Also, it acts as a WiFi access unit, boosting your WiFi network. I have one permanently plugged in to my TV at home and can use the TV to browse the internet or just plainly watch a good old DVD. I have also sometimes used it for meetings when I need to present to a group of people. Although a better product is the WePresent for presentations as multiple people can connect to it at the same time. www.wpsltd.com sell them online. It may not support the full range of features to allow it to be rated as Sata 2 but it does also support NCQ. It has both types of power connectors (use only one of them), so no adapter will be needed. . This drive is one of the least expensive 160GB SATA-300 drives on the market which is the main reason I bought one. However, the 7K160 series (also available in 80GB) has a 8MB data buffer - unusual for budget drives. Unlike the 7K80 series, all models in this series have the 8MB buffer. The PATA-133 interface is also available in both sizes. There are other things about this drive that will warrant reading the review below - particularly the interface configuration warning. The 7K160 has among the highest bit density of non-PMR (perpendicular recording) drives at 160GB per platter. Higher density yields better sequential read/write performance. Here are some relevant specs: Sustained transfer rate - 38 to 78 MB/sec. read, 35 to 68 MB/sec. write, 64MB/s avg read, 56 MB/s. avg. write. 218 MB/sec. burst. Read seek time - 8.5 ms (tested at 13.7 including overhead). Startup Current - 1.9A@12V, 1.3A@5V Idle Power - 5.9Watts Warranty - 3 years bought thru Newegg, OEM drive warranty may vary depending on the reseller. This card is a dream, all the games I play can be run @ 1600x1200 @ full detail, save a few like oblivion and fear. Image quality is very nice, framerates are through the roof on 1280x1024 and still very very nice on 1600x1200. Overclocking is also nice, default is 625/1800, but after investigating my ram chips were 2000Mhz by default, so I set them to that speed and the core is running 675. Will be clocking some more when the new case arrives. Would recommend this to anyone, stable as can be. only downside is that you need quite a powerfull PSU to run this baby. The CoolView and Flamboyant models have been discontinued but they are still widely available and often at a substantial discount over the original price of around $150.00. Now you are getting the CoolWatch practically for free. The main attraction of this series of cases is the large number of available 5.25" drive bays (10). Now that the price has come down I call them "poor man's stackers". And the feature that sets the CoolView apart from the others is the integrated CoolWatch fan and temperature controller and monitor which has a glitzy LCD display and the thick bezel with door that houses it. Most agree that the exterior fit and finish or these cases is very good to excellent and that the general construction quality is very good to excellent. Editor's notes: This is the Adaptec-rebadged YE Data YD-8V07, 7-in-1 Combo MultiMedia 'Drive 3' with the Adaptec Model No. AUA-7500. It is a combination of a 3.5" floppy drive and a Flash memory card reader that fits in a single, exposed 3.5" drive bay. Great for maximizing your drive bay usage, e.g. for HTPC and other compact systems. . Adaptec never sold this version into the retail channel - those were all Drive 2 or earlier. They either were going to roll out the new version and decided not to when they saw they would have to reprint the Installation Guide and the software CD (the ones included mostly apply to the older, Drive 2, model). Or these were bought as warranty stock. In any case, their loss is our gain as a good number of them were dumped as "refurbs" so Adaptec could avoid liability for them, but very few were ever actually used. --------------- Flash Card Formats Read:(see specs page linked below for details - I'm not sure if the update of the firmware allows for the reading of the newer formats listed there as I don't have any of those card types available to me. They will for sure read and write the following:) * Compact Flash * Smart Media * SD Memory * Memory Stick and Pro * MultiMedia Card * MicroDrive In the box: * Combo drive w/ beige bezel (easy to change the color with Testor's model paint or other plastic-safe spray paint, or vinyl dye), * Adapter from standard USB A male connector to mobo header (see pix above), * Installation Guide and driver CD. * Mounting screws (self-tapping for plastic). System Requrements: * Windows 98SE thru XP - the floppy will work with any OS and the Flash card reader should work with any that fully supports USB 1.1 or higher - tested and works fine with Xandros v.4 (a top rank Linux distribution). * Standard Floppy Drive interface and cable, * USB 2 port for card reader (card reader is backward compatible with USB 1.1), * FDD power connector, * CD or DVD drive for installing drivers. More Editor's Notes: Neither the YE Data nor the Adaptec version of this drive is available in the retail channel any longer. YE Data continues to make this drive but sells only into the OEM channel. All that I've been able to find using the price search engines are the older "Drive 2" version at prices ranging from $20. to $50. (original MSRP)! The first three pictures on This Page show the cosmetic differences between the versions. And all of the drives that Adaptec sold at retail (that I know of) were the 'Drive 2' version. The 'Drive 1' version seems to be identical to the first Mitsumi floppy/flash combo drive as well. This drive is one of the least expensive 80GB SATA drives on the market which is the main reason I bought one. However, this 80GB model has a 8MB data buffer - quite unusual for a budget drive. They were, but that was later. It was due to a faulty AGP slot, but that was fixed with a new motherboard, which put the CPU socket near the top of the board. This made for somewhat tricky installation, because on one side of the CPU socket hooks was the bar that held the Power Supply, and on the other was the Chipset cooler fan. So, knowing that the Gigabyte cooler spreads its air out all over the motherboard, which helps in cooling, I removed the fan. No problems with that, although people with a 754/939 Socket will have no problem. Not sure for Intel, haven't used them. The total compatibility is for Sockets A/754/939 and for Intel Sockets 478/LGA755 [Socket T]. The installation was relatively easy, as they included Thermal Paste. Also, the cooler doesn't use screws, they use clips, I had to remove them, becuase of the way the Socket was oriented and my case is [Antec SLK1650], however you can use longer screws [I used the ones from my chipset fan]. Again, for people using Athlon 64 motherboards, no problem. Also, the fan has a tight fit with the Power Supply. Speaking of the fan, it is a large one, which is why I had such trouble fitting the thing. The fan is a 110 MM, which makes for very quiet operation. Also, the fins of the heatsink are very dense, which helps in cooling, and the heatpipes raise the heatsink up, which aids in compatibility for capacitors. Also, if your motherboard is like mine, you can make the ATX power cable go under the Heatsink, along with the auxiliary Power Cable. So, those of you with a Side window and no sleeving, it makes for a cleaner looking case. Also, on the fan are 4 Blue LEDS, which are bright and make the Heatsink Fan very visually appealing. Now for the cooling. Since the fan is large, it doesn't need to spin fast to cool well. So, my CPU [Athlon XP 2600 at 2.1 GHz] runs at 39 degrees Celcius. And, Athlon XP's actually run hotter than most Athlon 64's. So, in conclusion, this Heatsink Fan combination is great for those seeking a quiet, good cooling, and relatively easy installation, assuming your motherboard has a good Socket orientation and your case is not a smaller midtower, like mine. I found this enclosure at www.pcmicrostore.com for only $29 shipped. The fit and finish on this product is very nice. The black is buffed to a high shine, and all the pieces fit together perfectly. The blue lit-up display on the front is attractive, yet not overpowering like some I've used before. This unit doesn't have a cooling fan, but the aluminum seems to do a good job dissipating the heat from the hard drive. As it gets WARM to the touch, but never gets hot enough to cause any concern. The packaging was also very nice, and it really was not what I was expecting from such an inexpensive unit. It came with a driver CD, power cord, USB cord AND get this, a SCREWDRIVER! wow... I've never had that before. One thing to keep in mind though, is you need to set your jumpers to MASTER. The instructions do not tell you to do this... There is a tiny sticker on the PCB board that informs you of this... Which I missed at first and thought I got a faulty unit because it wasn't reading the drive. It was a bit tricky getting the drive installed at first, because the entire unit comes apart and you have to mount the drive directly to the PCB. So this probably wouldn't be a good enclosure if you are constantly swapping drives in and out. But all in all, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Your search for an enclosure ends here! They even have four colors to choose from: Black, Blue, Red and Silver. agathodaimon Mon, 23 Jan 2006 13:56:00 -0600 HD 280 Pro Headphones http://www.techimo.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=421

by: Unregistered

Description: The HD 280 PRO are closed-back, circumaural headphones designed for professional monitoring applications. It is a bit of a pain to get going nicely, but once you've tweaked it, it'll fly like no other. I've had my 3200 venice up to 2.7Ghz, with a 270Mhz HTT busspeed, stable as a rock. I also had it on 300Mhz HTT stable as a rock, seems there's almost no end to this beauty. On DFI-street.com there is awesome support from employees and fellow DFI'ers and lots and lots of custom bios' to choose from. Will recommend this to anyone who thinks about overclocking.
